Meetings are held on the fourth Monday of each month in the Winn Room of the Coronado Public Library. Should the Monday fall on a holiday, the General Meeting is then held the following day.
The Club takes does not meet in the summer.
The meetings consist of a social time followed by the business session, then an invited speaker.
Refreshments for the meetings are provided by Club members who have previously signed up for that meeting’s refreshments.
Guests are always welcome!
Please attend a meeting and meet the members of the Club.
Board meetings, restricted to BBGC officers, committee chairs and any invited presenters, are on the First Monday of the month.
Workshops and Field Trips
Workshops are planned during the year and they will be announced at general meetings and in The Bay Leaf, the BBGC newsletter.
The Bay Leaf – BBGC Newsletter
The Bay Leaf is the official, monthly newsletter sent out to all members. The Bay Leaf keeps members informed of meetings, workshops, and other events, including changes to the calendar. It also contains news and pictures of past events, as well as other gardening information.
Ways and Means
In addition to member dues, BBGC has activities and events to raise funds. These monies are used for the activities listed under Projects.
Silent Auctions and Raffles: An auction and raffle are held at each general meeting throughout the year to raise funds for Club activities.
Penny Pines: A collection basket is sent around every meeting to gather whatever donation amount any club member may choose to give to support the Penny Pines Project.
Artisan’s Alley Craft Fair: The members of BBGC assemble and sell over 100 fresh holiday floral arrangements which are sold at Artisan’s Alley which is held on the first Saturday in December.
